In 10 months, Transcarpathian customs has cleared almost one and a half million vehicles

In January-October 2020, the total number of cleared vehicles that crossed the customs border of Ukraine in the area of the Transcarpathian Customs of the State Customs Service was 1,465,537 units, including: 

– 3,813 passenger railway cars, 

– 326,449 railway freight cars, 

– 850,899 passenger cars, 

– 19,881 buses, 

– 253,103 trucks,  

– 46 aircrafts, 

– 11,346 other vehicles,  

– 15,134 tons of cargo has been checked and cleared.  

Analysis of the dynamics of traffic flow during January-October 2020 in general shows a tendency to the reduction in the number of vehicles crossing the customs border of Ukraine, compared to the same period in 2019, by 1,438,351 units in the customs area and by 2,130 thousands tons of cargo moved by them. This decrease is primarily due to the coronavirus pandemic, which caused the closure of checkpoints on the borders with Romania, Hungary and Slovakia.
