Hungary Nyíregyháza has collected two million forints for families of Transcarpathian soldiers

September 25, the Mayor of the Hungarian city of Niredgaza Ferenc Kovacs at the meeting with the First Deputy Chairman of Transcarpathian Regional Council, the head of the Association of Hungarian culture in Transcarpathia (KMKSZ) Vasyl Brenzovych said that Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg county decided to provide assistance in the amount of two million forints for Transcarpathian families.

Ferenc Kovacs said that the city of Nyíregyháza has several sister cities in Transcarpathia – Uzhgorod, Mukachevo and Beregovo – with which fruitful contacts are being maintained.
Vasyl Brenzovych said that eight Transcarpathians had been killed in eastern Ukraine, two of them were of Hungarian nationality.
"We decided to provide assistance to the families of killed and wounded soldiers from Transcarpathia", – he said.
The money from Hungary are to be received on Saturday. It was decided to allocate the aid to 50 Transcarpathian families.
