Hungary is ready for cooperation with Ukraine – Peter Szijjarto (PHOTOS)

The Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and Hungary met in Transcarpathia.

The meeting took place in the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration. Medical equipment and means of protection for medical workers were handed over near the building of the institution. The Hungarian Ecumenical Relief Service provided the region’s hospitals with 50 ventilators, 4,000 protective suits and half a million gloves.

The ministers of the two countries praised the efforts of the Transcarpathian authorities and the head of the regional state administration, in particular, in establishing constructive and effective cross-border relations and cooperation. 

Afterwards, Dmytro Kuleba and Peter Szijjarto met face to face. The ministers then held joint Ukrainian-Hungarian talks.

Later, the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba and the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary Peter Szijjarto spoke to journalists about the main tasks of the ministers’ visit – deepening economic cooperation, developing border infrastructure and ensuring the rights of national minorities.

Particular attention was also paid to trade (they agreed to hold a business forum of Ukrainian and Hungarian companies), tourism in Transcarpathia, etc.

Peter Szijjarto said that Hungary is ready to cooperate with Ukraine.
