Ukrainian, Romanian and Serbian workers traveling to Western European countries are only allowed to enter Hungary during a fixed period of time.
Coronavirus Task Force spokesman Robert Kis said that guest workers have four hours to enter the country through three checkpoints – Roszke, Nagylak, or Zahony.
Earlier, Hungary reported the time limits for crossing the border: entry from Ukraine to Hungary scheduled for the period after April 20, 2020 can take place from 16:00 to 20:00.
Entry into the territory of Hungary is only allowed by car or minibus with a maximum capacity of 9 people. Yellow warning signs should be affixed to such vehicles.
Guests entering the territory of Hungary are provided with written information, as well as oral explanations about the time limits.
"The new border control system will serve to ensure that guest workers traveling to Western Europe leave the country as soon as possible," – Robert Kis said.
A person traveling to Hungary must not leave the place of self-isolation for 14 days. Law enforcement can check this several times a day. Violators will be held accountable.
