Hungarian President Janos Ader by his decree stripped another two persons, residents of Transcarpathia of the citizenship, the Mukachevo.net informed with reference to the Official Journal of the President of Hungary Magyar Kozlony of December 8, 2016.
It was stated that Natalia G. (place of birth – the city of Uzhgorod, born in 1968) and Michai D. (place of birth – the village of Forgolany, Vynogradiv district, born in 1985) were denied the citizenship of Hungary.
The corresponding decree was signed by President of Hungary Janos Ader and Hungarian Interior Minister Sandor Pinter.
According to official information, Hungary has already issued to foreigners, including Ukrainians, almost one million passports.
Over the past 2 years the practice of mass issuance of Hungarian passports to ethnic Hungarians in Transcarpathian region and in Ukraine in general has changed into quite a thorough scrutiny of not only those applying for citizenship, but also those who have already received it. As a result, reports about deprivation of Hungarian citizenship are posted on the official website of the President of Hungary almost every month.
