Humanitarian cargo with modern equipment delivered to hospitals of Transcarpathia

Over thousand of pregnant women and 6 thousand people with cardiovascular diseases will now be able to be examined with a more modern equipment, received through Chop customs as humanitarian aid for hospitals of Transcarpathia.
 

The donation process of new ultrasound scanner SIEMENS ACUSON X150 to Uzhgorod maternity clinic № 1 was attended by chiefs of Chop Customs and heads of medical institutions. 
 
Modern ultrasound scanner was donated to Uzhgorod Central City Hospital by Siemens, and as a representative of the German organization Arzte der Welte V. assures,this is a product of the highest quality that meets all European standards. Equipment costs 16,671.23 euros.
Lesya Levko, Program Coordinator from the Medical Aid Committee in Transcarpathia, attended the donation event. She said that this organization has been working in Transcarpathia for more than 10 years.  "In October last year we received information from World doctors organization in Germany that company Siemens offers to donate a new ultrasound device. It was only necessary to find an interested user. The idea to transfer the machine here was urged by the fact that female clinic serves a large number of pregnant women, and it would be in the interests of Transcarpathia, "- summarized representative of the committee.

Expensive angiography equipment was received by Mukachevo central district hospital as a humanitarian aid as well. According to the experts, the created angiography complex will allow to do heart surgery in cases of acute coronary insufficiency and acute myocardial infarction. The device will also allow to do surgery on the carotid arteries, and later, after the preparation of the appropriate professionals, also the operations on large vessels.
