“How much is opiate of the masses?” or a few words about the decision of Uzhgorod City Council

"I have read decisions of Uzhgorod City Council made on May 31. Thus, in addition to land misappropriation and other "specific" issues, which have already been covered by the media, I noticed a few other things – Yaroslav Hulan wrote on his page in Facebook. It turns out that for the improvement of the city, more than 2 million hryvnias have already been spent. For what exactly is unknown, so I’ll have to send an information request.
Those who hoped that the Mayor of Uzhgorod would fulfill his promise – to build a kindergarten in the "Bozdosh" neighborhood – will be disappointed – now it is known officially that City Hall are not going to build anything there. This is stated in the decision number 893, which, like all others, is not published on the City Council website.
The land in the city center costs 204 UAH per square meter. At least that is the price of the land plot sold at Voloshin st., 2 – 0.0171 ha for almost 35,000 UAH. The purpose is the construction of a house. How it will fit into the historic heart of Uzhgorod is another interesting question.
And the land on Tlekhas street was allocated for the construction of high rises for … No, not for teachers, not for doctors, not for workers. The apartments are for prosecutors, policemen and Security Service of Ukraine officers. In short, everything for social protection of law enforcement employees. After all, the president of Ukraine is now actively creating a police-run state. And Uzhgorod City Council actively facilitates this indirectly."
