This year, foresters of Transcarpathia sold over 5000 Christmas trees during the New Year and Christmas holidays. This was stated by the head of the Department of the Forest Protection and Internal Audit Ivan Palinkash at the meeting at the Transcarpathian Regional Forestry and Hunting Range Administration.
According to Ivan Palinkash, the trade of Christmas trees was carried out at specially equipped sites with obligatory marking of trees with special bar code tags.
During the Christmas campaign, state-owned forestry enterprises of Transcarpathia sold 5074 Christmas trees. The proceeds from the sale of Christmas trees by the foresters amounted to more than 413 thousand hryvnias.
The top sellers are Tyachiv forestry – 1679, Mizhhirya forestry – 1008, Verkhnyohirsk forestry – 700, Volovets forestry – 556, and Yasinya forestry – 329.
