How 7 Sri Lankans and 1 Afghan were detained on the border (VIDEO)

As we reported, eight illegal migrants were detained by border guards as a result of search operations in Transcarpathian region.

First border guards of the Mukachevo Detachment detained three citizens of Sri Lanka. They were detained 30 meters away from the border with Hungary. During subsequent search operations in the same area, border guards found two more citizens of Sri Lanka. Shortly, "green berets" arrested one Afghan nearby. Also, later a sniffer dog put border guards on the trail of two more Sri Lankans.

All the detained men had no documents. One of them, apparently because of a long journey, was sick. The doctors called by border guards diagnosed him with dehydration. He was given medical care, now his condition is satisfactory.

The "travelers," who were 23 to 60 years old, said that to get to the EU, on average they had paid 3,000 US dollars for each. It is likely that on the approaches to the EU, the traffickers divided them into small groups to increase the chances of crossing the border. However, they failed to implement this plan.
