Holy Light which came into Jerusalem Holy Sepulcher on Easter Saturday will be lit in Transcarpathia as well. Today it was delivered to Kyiv with a special flight from Jerusalem. The Holy Light meeting will take place in the Holy Assumption Kiev-Pechersk Lavra.
With the support of the Minister of Emergency Situations, the Head of the Regional Council Baloga it will be delivered to Uzhgorod.
Transcarpathian delegation consisting of the Regional Council Head Ivan Baloga, Deputy Vasyl Petyovka, Uzhgorod and Khust Mayors Viktor Pogorelov and Volodymyr Kashchuk, Khust and Uzhgorod Heads of District Councils Vasyl Hubal and Mykhailo Fedynec, members of Regional Council Volodymyr Chubirka and Myroslav Biletskyy received Holy Light from Archbishop Antoniy, rector of the Kiev Theological Academy in Kiev and will bring it to Transcarpathia after 10 p.m. by plane.
