Recently, two minibuses brand ‘MERCEDES-BENZ’ which was driven by citizens of Ukraine arrived at the customs control checkpoint ‘Tysa’. They returned from Italy to one of the western regions of our country.
Our fellow dwellers chose ‘red corridor’ as the form of customs control. Accordingly, they were asked to fill out customs declarations, where they indicated a small amount of foreign currency and personal items. During the verbal questioning men confirmed information that they indicated in the customs declarations and stated that did not carry any other goods.
However, when customs officers started customs examination of minibuses, they found in each of them a second vehicle. Motorcycles «APRILIA» «SHIVER 750» «Honda» SH300 travelled to Ukraine without any registration in the luggage compartments among personal belongings.
According to preliminary estimates the cost of motorcycle «APRILIA» of this model is almost 42 thousand hryvnia, and the cost of motorcycle «Honda» is currently being set by experts.
Since the citizens of Ukraine did not declare according to the form the precise information about goods moving of which through the customs border of Ukraine is subject to a written declaration and taxation, Officers drew up protocols on violation of customs rules under Article 472 of the Customs Code of Ukraine and motorcycles were removed until the court’s decision – informs the press service of Chop customs.
