Hennadiy Moskal became the main road worker of Transcarpathia.

On the occasion of the Motorist and Road Worker day, which is celebrated every year on the last Sunday of October, celebrations took place today in the atrium of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration.

The leaders of the region congratulated the industry workers, and various types of vehicles were exhibited in front of the building.

– This year we really see that motorists and road builders are the most popular professions, – the head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Hennadiy Moskal said. – This is what the residents of Transcarpathia, who need good roads, remind us about every day. I sincerely congratulate everyone on the beginning of the process that has been stalled in the region for many decades. There is a lot of work, which, in the end, will result in the developed and high-quality infrastructure of Transcarpathia!

The chairman of the Transcarpathian Regional Council Mykhailo Rivis supported the head of the regional state administration and emphasized the relevance of the industry representatives’ work.

– We have finally started to restore and improve the main road arteries of the region. Without you, this process would have been impossible, – Mykhailo Rivis said. – Thanks to the development of roads, we can modernize the tourism and recreational industries, so there is a direct dependence of the main activities in Transcarpathia on the transport infrastructure. The priorities of world development are changing, but roads have been and remain the priority in the developement of the leading world economies. So, I congratulate everyone who builds our roads and those who drive on them!

The regional official awarded with honorary diplomas and letters of gratitude the best representatives of the road and transport industry of the region. Among them, there were managers and employees of motor transport enterprises, carriers, specialists for repair and maintenance of vehicles, relevant departments and their respective structural units.  

In turn, representatives of the road industry decided to award "the main road worker of the region" and presented the head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration a symbolic picture that reflects the essence of the active phase of road repair works in Transcarpathia.

The celebrations continued with a concert program with performances of folk groups, soloists and vocalists. At the same time, the display of modern cars from the leading car dealerships of the region, buses, heavy and special vehicles took place on Narodna square.
