Harmonisation of the Hungarian transport routes hasn’t separated Kiev and Budapest

On April 15 the schedule for trains and buses in Hungary has changed. As a result, according to Ukrinform, with reference to the Ministry of National Development of Hungary, the country reduced the number of trains by 410, bus routes – by 30. The Hungarian Ministry explains such a step by the need for harmonization with the elimination of duplication in schedules.

One of the drawbacks of the innovation can be considered a possible increase in passengers due to the reduction of bus routes. In addition, the routs of nearly half of the trains have changed, fewer trains will be in areas ‘Seykeshfegervar-Komarom’, ‘Budapest-Nodykonizho’, ‘Budapest-Peytch’, ‘Budapest-Tsegleyd-Seged’.

However, the changes did not affect communication between Budapest and Kiev, which is provided by the train ‘Tisa’.
