The Prime Minister Volodymyr Groisman will ask the President to dismiss the head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Hennadiy Moskal.
The head of the Government wrote on his Facebook, responding to the request of Moskal.
"I will not let anyone speak to me with ultimatums. Hennadiy Hennadiyovych, despite your request, I am not going to prepare order for your dismissal" – Groisman wrote.
"We have a lot of work to do – and hopefully, together. Let’s start a new tradition of the appointment of senior staff at the customs service on the basis of public competition with participation of NGOs. And let’s start implementing this tradition at the Transcarpathian customs office," – he added.
As you know, earlier Moskal attributed his decision to resign to the fact that in Transcarpathia "they are trying to restore large-sale smuggling of tobacco products, using the influence of Ukrainian politicians and heads of individual departments."
Groisman replied that for him "it does not matter what contraband goes through the customs – wood, cigarettes, nuts, alcohol or anything else."
"What we have to do is not to decide which smuggling is worse, but to stop any smuggling in general," – the Prime Minister said and added that he would appeal to the Security Service of Ukraine and the NABU with the demand to check all the facts referred to in Moskal’s letter.
"Tomorrow, during my visit to Lviv region, I planned to visit one of the border crossing points and to discuss problems at the Lviv customs office. They have them there too and I know about it. And I expect you together with the management of the Transcarpathian customs office in my office next week" – Groisman said.
