Hot summer evening of the first day of August … Platz. Perturbed faces. But perturbance is mixed with hope. In a few moments the native military unit will welcome back its heroes – our defenders … Somebody’s parents, sons, boyfriends, husbands, classmates, friends and colleagues… They are back! Safe and sound!
August 1, the Chop troop of border gueards met its "Green Berets", who stayed in the area of ATO for almost 2 months.
26 people under the command of Major Olexander Pitsykevych are back with success – without losses and injuries.
In the westernmost part of Ukraine the border guards were greeted with bread and salt from the community of Chop, AvtoMaidan of Transcarpathia, awards from the command and of the City Council, with yellow and blue baloons and wildflowers. But hugs and kisses from the closest ones – family, friends, and concerned countrymen – were the most valuable. Not only the relatives, girls, but also the colleagues and media representatives could not restrain tears.
Even the anthem of Ukraine sounded speciallu at the ceremony! And the cries of "Glory to Ukraine" and this "Glory to Heroes!" from those who have returned – it all sent shivers downn the spine.
