Full monitoring of river pollution will be carried out in Transcarpathia

A critical ecological situation has developed in Transcarpathia. So much debris has accumulated in the rivers that they have become congested. The biggest trash congestions were found in the village of Kamyanske of Irshava district and between the villages of N.Remety and the village of Kvasovo, Beregovo district. 
Therefore, a meeting was held with the village heads of the district, which was initiated by the head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Oleksiy Petrov. The meeting was attended by the chief specialist of the Department of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, the head of the inter-district water management department, the head of the Irshava operational section of the Beregovo IWMD, village heads. 
At the meeting, they identified the urgent measures that need to be taken to prevent the flow of garbage down the Borzhava river to the botanical protected area "Borzhava" and the botanical natural monument of national importance "Atak". 
As a result of the meeting, the village heads were recommended to monitor the rivers, to examine inclined trees and to use the funds for landscaping and sanitation measures to prevent the formation of trash congestions. He also asked to carry out outreach among the population on the proper management of household waste. 
Representatives of local self-government expressed interest and readiness to work in this area.
