Forecasters warn of heavy rains and the threat of mudflows in the Carpathians

There is a risk of formation of mudflows in the Carpathians. Ukrainian forecasters warn of heavy rains and gusts of wind in the western regions during November 6-7. This was reported by the press center of the State Service for Emergency Situations. "On November 6-7, in Transcarpathian region and in the mountainous areas of Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi regions, very heavy rains, wind gusts of 15-20 m / s, in the highlands of the Carpathians – 25-30 m / s, are expected" – it is said in the report. Furthermore, according to forecasts, on 6-7 of November, during heavy rains in the Carpathians, there is a threat of formation of mudflows. In this regard, the State Emergencies Service urges citizens to observe basic safety rules, especially while being outside. In turn, the Office of Road Safety of the Ministry of Internal Affairs urged drivers of the western regions to be careful while driving.
