Christmas and New Year holidays are the most fun, anticipated and loved in Ukraine. At the end of the year, Christmas trees are set up in the streets and in houses, and entrepreneurs try to decorate shop windows and offices as brightly as possible.
We decided to walk the streets of Uzhgorod and see what interesting and creative ideas shop owners will use to create a festive mood.
Admittedly, in daylight, the decoration of showcases does not look too impressive. Only ads about Christmas discounts and several stickers with snowflakes and Santa Clauses catch the eye.
But, when the winter sun disappears below the horizon and darkness comes to town, the picture changes. Colorful fairy-lights and even small details make the central streets of Uzhgorod look really festive and even fabulous.
