On Teatralna Square in Uzhgorod, 120 dancers danced a traditional Ukrainian Hopak dance. In such a manner creative teams of the city celebrated the International Dance Day, which is celebrated on April 29.
Boys and girls started training together back in February. Three times a week in one of the Uzhgorod gyms ballroom dancers, hip-hopers and lovers of modern dance mastered, at first glance, simple folk steps. Dancers of the Exemplary Children Folk Dance Ensemble "Dzhereltsya Karpat" willingly shared their experiences. It was the managers of this ensemble who came up with the idea of the largest dance of Transcarpathia.
"The idea came spontaneously, we just saw that we had a lot of children in the "Dzhereltsya" center and decided to make the largest hopak dance in Ukraine – the organizer of the flashmob Eric Sachko said – but we were a little bit short of the dancers and so we set the record of Transcarpathia."
