State Ecological Inspectorate in Transcarpathia under the authority carries out state supervision (control) of the regional hospitals’ compliance with environmental legislation.
Scince the beginning of the year, 11 medical institutions have been inspected. In 9 of these State ecological inspection detected violations of the current legislation regarding waste management, including activities without keeping records of waste, without a permit and limit for waste formation and disposal, which violates Art. 17, 32 of the Law of Ukraine "On Wastes".
Under Art. 78, 82, 82-1 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offences 9 officers have been brought to justice and fined for UAH 6,103 in total, and orders have been served to eliminate detected violations of environmental legislation – said the State Ecological Inspectorate in Transcarpathia.
