Enterprises of a transit-converting group have been shutdown in Transcarpathia (PHOTOS)

Law enforcement officers found and seized financial and economic documents, drafts, as well as nearly 13,000 items of various goods, 20,000 items of various apparel worth about 6.5 million 
According to the press service of the Prosecutor’s Office of Transcarpathian region, the procedural prosecutors together with officers of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine exposed the activity of enterprises of a transit-converting group, which were importing goods from Europe from Ukraine using various schemes to evade paying customs duties. 
“Through subordinate entities and offshore companies, the enterprises significantly reduced the customs value of the goods imported into Ukraine. Subsequently, these goods were sold throughout Ukraine at real, market prices,” – the prosecutor’s office informed. 
It is also noted that during the searches, the police found and seized financial and economic documents, drafts, as well as almost 13 thousand items of various goods (tableware, kitchen sets, table sets of various assortments). Their estimated cost is about UAH 5 million. 
In addition, it was reported that during a search at one of these warehouses, police officers found and seized a vehicle, rough records and about 20,000 items of various clothing. The estimated cost of goods is about UAH 1.5 million. Source. 
A further pre-trial investigation is currently underway. A number of relevant examinations have been arranged, all the circumstances of the crime are being established.
