In Slovakia, various establishments have begun to re-open after almost two months of quarantine. Including churches for believers.
However, this does not mean that everything will be the same now. All parishioners must adhere to strict hygienic measures during church ceremonies. This is a government order.
In the photo you can see how the services take place in the churches of Presov. Thus, in the Cathedral of St. Elizabeth, attending the Mass is allowed only with protective masks.
In the Cathedral of St. Nicholas in front of the entrance there is now a bottle of hand sanitizer instead of holy water. And the most important rule is observance of the distance between the people. As you can see, the distance must be at least 1.5-2 meters.
All public events in Slovak churches have been canceled since March 10. Since then, priests have offered their parishioners various forms of spiritual service, sometimes administering the sacraments individually.
Churches have been available only for private prayers. Dioceses and parishes broadcast their events on the Internet or on television.
