Details of today’s searches in the Regional State Administration (PHOTOS)

The Transcarpathian police, together with the Security Service of Ukraine Office in Transcarpathian region, indicted the persons involved in the deal, as a result of which almost 30 million hryvnias was embezzled from the budget. The case is under pre-trial investigation, the criminal activity of the key persons of the scheme is being documented, the Communication department of the Transcarpathian regional police reported
Law enforcement officers exposed the corruption scheme for embezzlement of the money intended for the measures against coronavirus disease in the region. Among the persons involved in it are the officials of one of the departments of the regional state administration and the director of a company, which specializes in the supply of medicines. 
During the investigation, law enforcement officers found out that the key persons had conspired and planned everything down to the smallest detail. Instead of medical devices with a high degree of protection, Transcarpathian doctors received low-quality substitutes. Labels with the names of the suppliers were applied to the means of protection to hide the real inscription "non-medical mask". 
The investigators have identified a key group of people involved in the crime. They were notified of being suspected of misappropriation of property through abuse of office, in a particularly large amount by an organized group of persons (Part 5 of Article 27 – Part 5 of Article 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). 
Searches were conducted as part of the pre-trial investigation. 
According to the sanction of the article, the suspects face imprisonment for a term of 7 to 12 years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to three years and confiscation of property.
