Deputies registered in the Parliament a bill which proposes to give local governments the power to restrict or prohibit the sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages.
The author of the bill number 4747 is the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada from the "Batkivshchyna" faction, the candidate for the mayor of Kyiv Lesya Orobets.
Currently the bill is not published on the site of the parliament.
The purpose of limitation or prohibition of the sale and consumption of alcohol is to reduce its harmful effects on health.
Recall, the Cabinet of Ministers suggests the Parliament to move the introduction of the new excise tax on alcoholic beverages from September 1 to July 1.
MP Mykola Dmitruk (parliamentary group "Economic Development") suggests the parliament to introduce the rule on the availability of at least 50% of domestic goods among all wine products of an economic agent.
