Ukraine and Poland’s Neighborliness Days with the participation of the leadership of Transcarpathian region and Podkarpackie Voivodeship officially finished on Saturday, August 10.
The opening of the temporary crossing point between the two countries "Lubnya – Wolosate" was perhaps the most interesting and, as it turned out, the most anticipated highlight of the event.
The meeting of the officials from the border regions and the program of festive events started there. Tourists, who knew about the opening of the checkpoint, planned their routes in advance. For example, almost fifty fans of active mountain recreation from the Transcarpathian "Hiking Club" went to conquer the Tarnica Mountain in Poland.
There were also many tourists coming from Poland to Ukraine. Guests from both the Ukrainian and Polish sides emphasized that the location for the checkpoint is convenient, and the tourist attractions of the border regions of both countries are worth a visit.
After the solemn part on the border, where the participants visited Uzhok National Nature Park, the exhibition of the tourism potential of Transcarpathia, the guests visited XVII century St. Michael’s Church in the village of Vyshka. The ancient wooden church is a monument of architecture of national importance and one of the main tourist attractions of Velyky Berezny district. Then, in the Krasia tract, in one of the tourist complexes, the leaders of the delegations from the two border regions signed a Joint Action Program for 2020.
After that, the guests ascended to the summit of the Mount Krasia by a lift. There, the participants of the festivities were taken on a sightseeing tour, visited a gastronomic location and a colorful concert program.
