Czechs will help mark hiking trails in Transcarpathia

Regional Deputies approved the Memorandum of Understanding between the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Ukraine and Transcarpathian Regional Council on Cooperation in the Development of Marked Hiking Trails.

   According to the document, the Embassy of the Czech Republic will continue to support the development of hiking trails in the Transcarpathian region, both technically and through expert support. It provides the promotion and marketing of hiking trails in the appropriate communities. In turn, Transcarpathian region will support the marking with all available means and approve a system of rules for marking hiking trails, which is already practically used in the projects. 

Coordinator and executor of projects from Transcarpathia will be the enterprise "Agency for Regional Development and Cross-Border Cooperation "Zakarpattia" of Transcarpathian Regional Council."

Embassy of the Czech Republic will carry out the support of efforts to include marked hiking trails of Transcarpathia in the European network of marked hiking trails, especially the "Carpathian tourist path" to the Trans-European travel path. Transcarpathian region will assume the cost of maintaining all marked hiking trails marked with the support of the Czech government.
The deputies suggested Regional State Administration in preparing the draft regional budget for 2013 to provide the funds necessary for taking measures for the implementation of European marking standards in Transcarpathia – informed the press service of the regional council.
