Today, June 28, in Uzhgorod, at Lev Tolstoy st., 10 B, there was the solemn opening of the Czech House of the Region with the participation of the Chairman of the Transcarpathian Regional Council Mykhailo Rivis, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Ukraine Radek Matul, the Hetman of the Ustecky region Oldrich Bubenicek, the deputy head of the Transcarpathian Regional Administration Viktor Mikulin, the mayor of Uzhgorod Bohdan Andriyiv.
They cut the symbolic ribbon, which was made up of the flags of Ukraine and the Czech Republic.
The director of the Czech House Pavel Musil, opening the institution, said that its purpose is to ensure communication between the businesses of the Ustecky region of the Czech Republic and Transcarpathia of Ukraine. "However, life is not only business but also sports, culture, medicine. So, we will work together in these areas, – Mr Musil said. – As a matter of fact, the idea arose last year on June 29, when the Agreement on cooperation between the Transcarpathian Regional Council and the Ustecky region of the Czech Republic was solemnly signed in Uzhgorod. It was then that Mykhailo Rivis and Oldrich Bubenicek initiated the opening of the Czech House in Uzhgorod. In the future, the house will be presenting not only Ustecky region, but also all regions of the Czech Republic. Therefore, I thank all those involved in the opening."
In turn, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to Ukraine, Radek Matula, noted that he was happy to be in Uzhgorod, the city where the Czechs left a good mark, in particular, in architecture.
