A citizen of Ukraine reported false information regarding the dealer, price and quantity of goods which he tried to import through the customs post "Ďakovo." The Ukrainian gave customs inspectors the documents required for clearence. According to them, the excavator was heading in the "import" mode from Romania to Ukraine, the seller was a Panamanian company and the buyer was a domestic one, the citizen was acting under a letter of authority. According to the documents provided to experts of the Chop customs, the cost of the excavator was 32,000 U.S. dollars.
It was decided to carry out customs inspection of the vehicle, during which inspectors found contracts, according to which, the Ukrainian purchased the goods from a Romanian for 24,000 euros.
Also, the customs inspection revealed that besides the excavator, the citizen also tried to import to Ukraine supporting equipment to it – a bucket and a hydraulic hammer. The examination was conducted, during which it was determined the value of the goods: the excavator Volvo – 49,573, the bucket – 4,784, the hammer – 4,095 USD.
Such actions of the citizen of Ukraine consitute violation under Part 1 of Article 483 of the Customs Code of Ukraine, the protocol on violation of customs regulations was drawn up against him. Based on Article 511 of the Customs Code of Ukraine, according to this protocol, the goods – direct objects of violation- were temporarily seized from him.
