COVID-19 in Transcarpathia, Uzhgorod and Ukraine as of 9:00 on May 19

According to the Public Health Center, as of 9:00 am on May 19, there have been 18876 laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Ukraine, of which 548 were fatal, 5632 patients have recovered. During the day, 260 new cases were confirmed. Currently, coronavirus disease has been detected in: 
Vinnytsia region – 751 cases;  

Volyn region – 635 cases;  

Dnipropetrovsk region – 843 cases;  

Donetsk region – 131 cases;  

Zhytomyr region – 573 cases;  

Transcarpathian region – 911 cases;  

Zaporizhzhya region – 385 cases;  

Ivano-Frankivsk region – 1235 cases;  

Kirovohrad region – 445 cases;  
Kyiv – 2359 cases; 
Kyiv region – 1245 cases; 
Lviv region – 1098 cases; 
Luhansk region – 42 cases; 
Mykolaiv region – 263 cases; 
Odessa region – 784 cases; 
Poltava region – 264 cases; 
Rivne region – 1188 cases; 
Sumy region – 164 cases; 
Ternopil region – 1081 cases; 
Kharkiv region – 816 cases; 
Kherson region – 168 cases; 
Khmelnytsky region – 267 cases; 
Chernivtsi region – 2742 cases; 
Cherkasy region – 376 cases; 
Chernihiv region – 110 cases. 
The tests were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as well as by regional laboratories. As of the morning of May 19, 2020, the Center has received 945 reports of suspected COVID-19 cases.

"During the past day, May 18, 339 people sought emergency medical care, 4 of them had symptoms of acute pneumonia, 5 were suspected of having COVID-19" – the director of the Health Department of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Yelizaveta Birov said.

302 samples of biological materials for polymerase chain reaction (PCR) testing were collected.

10 persons were diagnosed with COVID-19, 2 of them are medical workers.

Overall, as of 9:00 am on May 19, 2020, 911 patients have been diagnosed with COVID-19. Of those, 204 are health care workers and 57 are children. 7529 polymerase chain reaction tests have been carried out.

197 patients have recovered. 

No fatal cases among patients diagnosed with COVID-19 have been registered in the past 24 hours. In total, since the beginning of the pandemic, according to the Department of Health of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, 24 deaths from COVID-19 have been reported in the region
