On October 25, 2019, a new leadership of the Chop Border Guard Detachment was appointed by the order of the Head of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
Colonel Ruslan Tsapyuk embarked on the position of the detachment chief. Ruslan Tsapyuk was born on 09.08.1978 in Starokostiantyniv district of Khmelnytsky region. In 1999, he graduated from the National Academy of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine named after B. Khmelnitsky. He began his officer’s career in the operational and search units of the current Azov-Black Sea Regional Directorate. Subsequently, he served in senior positions in the Eastern and Azov-Black Sea regional directorates of the State Border Guard Service.
In 2010, Colonel Tsapyuk graduated from the National Academy of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine and received a master’s degree. Prior to his appointment as the Chief of the Chop Border Guard Detachment, he served as the Deputy Chief of the Information and Analytical Department of the Azov-Black Sea Regional Directorate.
Lieutenant Colonel Mykhailyuk Oleksandr, who previously served as the Deputy Chief of Staff – Chief of the Border Guard Service Unit of the Mukachevo Border Guard Detachment was appointed the First Deputy Chief of the Chop Border Guard Detachment – Chief of Staff.
