Cheese horses, Ivano-Frankivsk color and queues for sheep food – the festival “Hutsulska bryndzya 2013” took place in Transcarpathia

As Uzhgorod.in already informed, on September 8, the city of Rakhiv received thousands of tourists and a few dozen of natural sheep cheese producers.   The demand was great, some even had to stand in queues. Among cheese producers, there were not only masters from villages of Rakhiv district, but also many from Ivano-Frankivsk.

Cheese cost from 40 to 60 UAH per kilogram. Lovers of sweet or salty, hard or crumbly cheeses had the opportunity to try it, and then buy a favorite product.

Among the sellers, there was a lot of souvenir stalls, mostly also from Ivano-Frankivsk region, selling glass, wood, clay products, icons, painted plates, embroidery and elements of national costumes, knives, shepherd implements.
