Catering program in schools of Uzhgorod for 2016 was agreed today at the meeting of the parliamentary committee on social and economic development, budget, finance and taxation.

The deputies, Deputy Mayor Oleksandr Bilak, the City Council Secretary Adriana Sushko, heads of finance, education departments and mothers of preschoolers and schoolchildren, who came to the city council, discussed the main provisions of the school catering program.  

Breakfast for students in grades 1-4 are guaranteed by the state only for privileged categories of children – poor, disabled, orphans and the like. According to the program of the City Council, the number of children who will receive free meals, will be expanded. Schools are waiting for applications from the parents, then school boards will make decisions. In general, the program provides for over UAH 8 million 781 thousand for meals for preschool and primary school pupils.

They also discussed in detail the process of making changes to the program, reporting on its implementation.
All committee members present at the meeting unanimously supported the said program.

Thus, on Monday, December 18, it will be considered at the extraordinary meeting of the executive committee, and then at an extraordinary session of the City Council.
