October 13, the Prosecutor of Transcarpathian region instituted criminal proceedings against the Acting Branch Manager of "Khustderzhspetslishosp" of the chief state forestry and agricultural enterprise "Zakarpatahrolis" over the receiving of $ 1,000 bribe (Part 3 of Art.368 of Criminal Code of Ukraine – punishable by imprisonment for a term of eight to twelve years with confiscation of property and deprivation of the right to occupy certain positions or engage in certain activities for a term up to three years.)
It was found out that in early October, the Acting Branch Manager of "Khustderzhspetslishosp" demanded and received from a Transcarpathian resident a bribe in the amount of $ 1,000.
In return the official promised to conclude a final contract for the development of cutting area in Vyshkovo forestry in Khust district. But the police who caught him "red-handed" prevented this deal – reported the press-service of the prosecutor’s office of Transcarpathian region.
