During a joint special operation "Frontier-2017", border guards of the Mukachevo detachment prevented another attempt of cigarette smuggling on the Ukrainian-Romanian border.
Yesterday, at about three o’clock in the morning, border patrol of the "Dilove" department using a night vision device noticed two people moving in the direction of the border. When border guards tried to detain them, the unknown men escaped. Within 100 meters of the border, the fugitives left 6 packages, which contained 2900 cigarette packs without excise stamps of Ukraine.
The tobacco products were delivered to the department "Dilove". Measures to identify the persons involved in the unlawful activities are being taken.
