Beregovo district will greet spring with a big white wine festival (VIDEO, PROGRAM)

The traditional spring wine festival will be held in the beginning of March in Beregovo. It will take place on March 6-8, with about 40 local winemakers and guests from overseas. 
The program includes wine tasting, traditional Transcarpathian dishes, performances by musical groups. The whole range of refinement and quality of wine will be presented at this festival, – the organizers say.
According to the Tourist Information Center "Tourinform Transcarpathia", the wine festival in Beregovo will be held for the 17th time. This festival is special because it takes place on the territory of the winemaking region, where the traditional culture of viticulture and winemaking in Transcarpathia is concentrated.

March 6, 2020 (Friday)
9.00 Wine is the true treasure of our lives. Exhibition and fair of Transcarpathian wines.
9.00 Beregovo grape traditions and wine culture. International scientific and educational conference on viticulture and winemaking. (Betlen Gabor st., 1. Beregovo District Museum)
9.30-13.00 Good wine is the elixir of life. Submission of wine samples for the competition (Koshut Square, in the office of the JV Ecotradeinform).
11.00 Exhibition and sale of equipment for viticulture and winemaking
11.00 The truth is in wine… and in book. Book exhibition and fair of specialized literature on viticulture and winemaking.
11.00 Cheeses and wine (Presentation of Transcarpathian cheeses).
11.00 Entrepreneurs’ offers. Food to wine. Good wine is a guarantee of good health, especially with a good snack!
12.00 Better than Viagra. Wine as a drink of love.
15.00 Laying of wreaths at the monument to the distinguished surgeon professor, renowned grape breeder Bertolon Linner. (Beregovo, B. Linner Street, 1).

9.00 Wine is medicine, food, pleasure. Exhibition and sale of Transcarpathian wines. Winemakers offer last year’s harvest wine. Exhibition and sale of equipment for viticulture and winemaking.
11.45 Festive march. Invited guests (delegations) will line up near the Roman Catholic Church (Rakoczi Square, 3).
12.00 Strength, Beauty, Taste, Faithfulness, Kindness. The grand opening of the 17th International Wine Festival in Beregovo district. Announcement of the results of the wine competition, awarding of medals. (Koshut Square, in front of the City House of Culture, big stage).
17.00 "Best chef of the festival. The most popular tent of the festival." Presentation of awards.
18.00 Everybody dance. Folk festivities on Koshut Square. During the day: Concert program. Performance of ensembles. Lottery draw.
