Because of jealousy for his wife, a resident of Mukachevo broke his friend’s ribs

For the committed offense, the jealous husband will be prosecuted under the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

In the evening, Mukachevo city police department received a report of a fight that occurred between the villagers in a private house in Mukachevo district.

The precinct inspector Vasyl Peresta immediately arrived at the said address and found there a young man with minor injuries of the head, ribs and bruises of the chest.

As it turned out later, on the eve of the fight, this 32-year-old previously convicted man was openly hitting on Mykhailo’s wife at a bus stop in Mukachevo. The young woman, upon returning home, complained to her husband. And the latter, without hesitatation, decided to teach his friend a lesson by beating him. But he turned out to be overzealous…

This incident was registered in the Unified register of pre-trial investigations on the grounds of Article 121, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine "Intended grievous bodily harm." For the haphazard act, the jealous husband faces punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of 5 to 8 years.Pre-trial investigation continues.
