Ivan Baloha, the chairman of the regional council, said he would vote for the dissolution of the regional council. "But I don’t want to bargain one trouble for another," – he said.
Baloha put it in this context, when talking about appointments in the region. He said that he had already appealed to Kyiv regarding replacements of key executives, including heads of the regional police, the prosecutor’s office, SSU, and more.
He said that lobbying, which is taking place now, can not be allowed. He announced that some members of the regional council, in particular, lobbied the appointment of Turdyay as the head of the police. This, he said, is very disappointing – all appointments must take place under the coordination with the community.
"That is why I will vote for the dissolution of the regional council."
At the meeting hall they adopted the appeal to Turchynov to coordinate appointments in Transcarpathian region with the regional council.
