"Russia has recently adopted the concept of North Caucasian autonomous region tourism cluster – the same mountainous region as Transcarpathia. Are there any plans like that in Ukraine?" – the journalists asked the Deputy Prime Minister Oleksandr Vilkul during his working trip to Transcarpathia.
"Ukraine has a serious, yet not fully realized tourism potential – Crimea, Odesa, Azov Sea and the Carpathian Mountains. The state is seriously involved in this issue and is currently developing a new concept of tourism industry with maximum stimulation of investment in the tourism industry. Our goal is that Ukrainian tourists should remain in Ukraine, and we need to attract as many foreign tourists as possible," – the official answered.
