Azarov is in Hungary. Will he agree on new checkpoints for Transcarpathia?

The Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov went with a two-day official visit to Hungary. Transcarpathians have some hopes about this trip. It primarily concerns the construction of new crossing points along the common border. Last week, deputies of the Transcarpathian Regional Council asked the Prime Minister to help them with their opening.

uzhgorod.in already wrote that this issue is important for our neighbors too. The Consul General of Hungary in Uzhgorod Jozsef Bachkai recently assured that the Hungarian party is very interested and negotiations will be conducted at the highest level, and obviously at the next meeting of the Ukrainian and Hungarian prime ministers.

The protocol of the visit includes the meeting of Mykola Azarov with the head of the National Assembly of Hungary Laszlo Kover, as well as with the President of Hungary Janos Ader today, March 28.

The program of the official visit also provides for the meeting of the Ukrainian Prime Minister with members of the National Assembly of Hungary, members of the Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group "Ukraine-Hungary."

Also Mykola Azarov will meet Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.

In the presence of the two Prime Ministers a number of bilateral agreements will be signed, including an agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of Hungary on international combined transportation.

It is also planned to sign a Memorandum of Understanding between the State Agency for Investment and National Projects of Ukraine and the Agency for Promotion of Trade and Investment of Hungary.

In addition, the parties will sign a memorandum between the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine and the Ministry of Regional Development of Hungary on cooperation in plant protection.
