Attack on a currency dealer in Transcarpathia: the police detained one of the attackers (PHOTOS, VIDEO)

At the end of March, a high-profile case occurred in the Transcarpathian village of Yanoshi. Unknown people attacked a currency dealer with a weapon, fired at his car and took 800,000 hryvnias.
Unknown people dressed in black suits and medical masks robbed a local resident. As a result of the armed robbery, the victim suffered a bullet wound and was hospitalized in the Beregovo Central Regional Hospital.
The attackers took about 800,000 hryvnias from the man and fled in an unknown direction. In order to impede the investigation as much as possible and to cover the tracks, the robbers burned their car in a forest.
Despite this, the Transcarpathian police identified the criminals in a few days. They were two men – a resident of Mukachevo and a resident of Irshava district. The suspects were declared wanted, and now, thanks to the prompt response of colleagues from Kyiv region police, one of the criminals has been detained. His accomplice is still wanted, and police are continuing to take measures to detain him.
“The defendants are charged with criminal acts under two articles –  part 2 of Article 15 – para 6 of part 2 of Article 115, part 4 of Article 187 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, ie attempted premeditated murder committed for selfish motives and robbery aimed at seizing property on a large or particularly large scale or committed by an organized group, or combined with causing grievous bodily harm. The issue of delivering the suspect to Transcarpathia and the choice of pre-trial restraint against him is currently being decided,” – the Communications Department of Transcarpathian Regional Police reported.
