At the RSA, they discussed the relevant issues of the settlements of the region

On Wednesday, August 21, at the Regional State Administration, there was the meeting of the heads of settlements of Transcarpathia with the head of the region Oleksandr Ledyda. 

The agenda included the relevant issues of settlements development in the region. Thus, they discussed the preparation for the heating season, repair of water systems, houses, municipal property and land issues. 

The Acting Mayor of Tyachiv Ivan Kleban voiced, in particular, the problem regarding the registration of lease agreements:

– Registration of leases for property and land requires documents that are sometimes impossible to recover.  So the lease agreement is concluded, but it can not be registered. Accordingly, the payment of the rent is not received in the budget.

The issue of simplification of land relations, efficiency, predictability of regulatory policy in the agricultural sector is relevant for each locality. After all, they allow to use natural resources as efficiently as possible.

The fiirst deputy head of Mizhhirya Vasyl Yuryk said: a significant portion of water systems was made during the Soviet years. They were partially repaired. The same applies to the houses. These issues, the mayor of Uzhgorod believes, can be solved by involving residents of settlements in condominiums. Creating a condominium, each party undertakes to repair or restore part of the building – roof, plumbing, etc.:

– You can not expect that someone will come and repair everything. We need to start a constructive cooperation. In some ways the government can help, but other things need private initiative – Uzhgorod Mayor Victor Pogorelov said.
