As of 07.00, September 2, 2013, 30 cases of fatalities on the water (including 2 children) have been reported in the region, for the same period of the last year – 31 cases – the Office of the State Emergencies Service of Ukraine in Transcarpathian region informed.
Since the beginning of 2013 (as of September 2), officers of the Special Emergency Rescue Unit in Transcarpathian region have performed 183 emergency search and rescue operations and saved 187 persons who were in danger in the mountains, 149 citizens were given immediate first aid. Also, they have provided advice to, registered and escorted 1917 the tourist groups (a total of 17193 people).
