A highly complex surgery was performed yesterday late at night by surgeons of Uzhgorod central city hospital. As a result of the emergency, which occurred at the "Turbogaz", an employee of the company Andriy T., born in 1975, suffered severe injuries, the Korzo News informs.
According to preliminary data, during the work in the foundry an explosion occurred, and the victim was hit by a red-hot piece of metal pipe. His abdominal cavity suffered significant injuries – liver, thin and thick intestines, diaphragm, lungs are severely damaged.
Doctors led by the chief doctor of the hospital Ivan Kurakh were fighting for the life of Andriy for four hours. A metal piece measuring about 5×1,5 cm was removed from the body of the victim. The patient’s condition after the surgery is very severe…
As we know, Andriy T. was on the military service in the 128 th Brigade, participated in the fighting in the eastern regions of Ukraine, in particular in Debaltseve. After demobilization and rehabilitation, he returned to work at the "Turbogaz."
The cause and details of the tragedy are being investigated.
