Ukraine is 10 years behind developed countries in terms of yield

Ukraine is 10 years behind developed countries in terms of yield

5 June 2015 15:30  17100650 0101667
Growth rate of main crops yield in Ukraine repeats global trends from a decade ago.

This is said in the statement of the Ukrainian Club of Agrarian Business.

In recent years, in Ukraine there has seen a significant increase in the yield of main crops which allowed to gather a record harvest of grains and oilseeds and practically equate yields to those of the leading countries of the world.

However, the current trend of growth was typical for the most developed countries 5-10 years ago, the experts of the UCAB specified.

Thus, for the last 5 years, the yield of corn in Ukraine has increased from 4.5 t / ha to 6.05 t / ha, sunflower - from 1.5 t / ha to 1.92 t / ha, rape - with 1,5t / ha to 2.4 t / ha. These figures were observed in Europe in 2000-2005.

The main reason for this development is the slow use of modern technological approaches and highly productive varieties and hybrids of seeds. Therefore, what has long been used in Europe is something completely new for Ukraine, the experts emphasize.

While in spring tourists travel to Uzhgorod to photograph the pink sakura, magnolia and other exotic plants, now the city is blooming with roses. We have walked several streets to take pictures of blooming miracle as they delight not only with different colors but also with different types.

For example, Lesya Ukrainka street opposite the kindergarten, a white bush of the Polyantha Iceberg rose is now blooming. Polyantha and Floribunda roses are usually not very high, up to 1m. These roses look spectacular in the garden, especially in the company of decorative deciduous and coniferous bushes. Flowers of the most varieties have no flavor, with average size and different shapes.

In Bakoniy lane, you can admire the blossoming pink roses that look like the previous one, but this is the climbing type of roses - Climbing Iceberg. They are suitable for decorating arches, they have long (2-5 m) flexible shoots.

Right next to ot, there a dark pink park rose called Rosarium Uetersen. These roses are unpretentious and indispensable for lovers of natural garden style. They bloom long and are very resistant to colds. Adults park roses reach 2-3 meters. You can plant them in autumn and spring.

On Kotsyubinsky street, opposite the Regional Prosecution Office, colorful "single" tea-hybrid roses are growing - Grande Amore (red), pale pink Landora, and a pale orange rose.

A little further, near the temple, there is a considerable rosary - here you can the already mentioned Rosarium Uetersen and tea-hybrid roses of different colors that "captured" the church building. But there is also an unusual violet-pink rose bush. It is the Konsuella park rose. It flowers profusely in mid-June and continues blloming throughout the vegetative season. Its bush is high and thick - 1.8 - 2.0 m.

Across the street, near the Regional Prosecution Office, there is a bush with small burgundy flowers - a miniature Optima Red. Patio and miniature roses are small in size but delicate. They are unpretentious and easy to keep. The height of the bush is up to 30 cm. It flowers continuously throughout summer.

By the way, researchers count more than 350 species and thousands of varieties of roses in the world.

Transcarpathian LLC downgraded the age of three "DAF" trucks

The head of one of Transcarpathian companies submitted to the customs post "Tyachiv" of the Transcarpathian customs office documents for customs control and clearance for free use on the customs territory of Ukraine of three trucks: two "DAF XF" and a "DAF FA LF 45.160".

In particular, he submitted electronic customs declarations, contracts, invoices, technical passports of Slovak Republic and certificates of conformity. According to these documents, the vehicles were made and registered in 2010.

Customs payments were charged on the basis of the data stated in the customs declarations.

During the analytical and search activities, officers of the Transcarpathian customs office received from the Department of Risk Analysis and Combating Customs Offenses of the SFSU the information on the possible declaration of false information on the year of manufacture (service life) of all three vehicles.

In order to prevent and record a potential violation of the customs legislation of Ukraine, the Department of Risk Analysis and Combating Customs Offenses of the Transcarpathian customs office sent a number of inquiries to establish the exact date of manufacture of the trucks, as the rate of excise duty to be levied at registration is determined on its basis.

According to the responses received, two vehicles were made and first registered in 2006 and one - in 2007. In fact, they have been in use for more than 8 years.

Thus, the head of the LLC submitted forged documents on the year of manufacture and vehicle first registration of the vehicles, thus moved the goods across the customs border of Ukraine concealed from customs control.

These actions of the citizen have signs of the customs rules violation provided for in Part 1 of Article 483 of the Customs Code of Ukraine.

Currently, three reports about violation of customs regulations have been drawn up.

Czech Republic will be issuing five-year visas to Ukrainians

Czech Republic will be issuing five-year visas to Ukrainians

5 June 2015 10:35  45100625 0101642
Czech Republic took unilateral measures to further simplify the visa procedure for citizens of Ukraine.

This is stated in the letter of the head of the Consular Department Pavel Pesek to the correspondent of the "ZN".

"Upon presentation of copies of previously used visas (at least one one-time short-term visa issued by any Schengen country), the applicant may apply for multiple short-term Schengen visa for one year," - the letter reads.

It was also reported that used multiple entry visa for one year provides an opportunity to apply for a visa for 2 years, and the term of next visa may be as much as 5 years.

Thus, according to the practice of the Consular Department in Kyiv, when taking the decision to grant multiple-entry visa, in most cases (90%) citizens are ganted multiple-entry visas at least for a period of 1 year, and often for a longer term of up to 5 years.

The practice of issuing short-term multiple-entry visas with a shorter term is almost never applied in the Consular Department in Kyiv.

This policy is also practiced by neighboring Slovakia. Consulates in Kyiv and Uzhgorod issue five-year visas to citizens of Ukraine with positive visa history much more often than Polish consulates.

After the first trip to the country, that issued a five-year visa (the Czech Republic or Slovakia), the multivisa owner may visit all Schengen countries, including Poland during the period of its validity.

Nevertheless, the resolution of the public hearings was read out, activists are speaking to the audience.

It is not yet clear whether they will remove from the agenda the scandalous property decision on the privatization of 48 objects of communal property. As of 10.15, the session has not started yet.

By the way, the session is attended by soldier Mykola Mynio whose documents for allocation of land somehow were lost in Uzhgorod city council.

At 10.22, the session still did not start due to the lack of quorum. The meeting was adjourned for Tuesday, June 9.
