Archive Beregovo will host Jewish Cultural Festival

From June 7 to 10, the Jewish Cultural Festival will be held in Beregovo for the second time.

The main organizer of the event is the Association of Jewish Religious Communities of Hungary. The celebrations will be continued with the support of the Program of Infinite Culture (Budapest), the Salom Foundation (Beregovo), the Transcarpathian Hungarian Institute and the Hungarian Consulate in Beregovo, the Holos Karpat reported.

At the press conference dedicated to the festival, the Consul General of Hungary, Matias Siladi, said:

"It is very important to study the history of our ancestors, to study the Holocaust in more detail. It is also important for us to show the gems of Jewish culture. We hope that it will unite the nations, instills tolerance to the hearts of the people."

The head of the association, Andráss Haisler, said:

"Last year, many Transcarpathians were interested in the event, participated in various programs of the Jewish Days in Transcarpathia. We hope that cultural and gastronomic events once again will attract people of all nations and peoples of our region."

The main coordinator of the ceremony Andreya Deyak spoke about the specific events of the festival. Famous composers, musicians, singers and actors from all over Europe will participate in it.
