The festival of Slovak folklore and culture "Slovenska Ruzha" will be held in Uzhgorod
August 26, 2018, the festival of Slovak folklore and culture "Slovenska Ruzha" will be held in the village of Storoznytsia of Uzhgorod district, on the territory of the stadium.
The beginning is at 14.00.
The festival will feature performances by folk groups, presentation of the Slovak culture and opportunities of the border village of Storozhnytsia.
There will be exhibition of Slovak crafts and arts, presentation of the best examples of cooperation with Slovakia in recent years.
Reference: The Slovak Society of Transcarpathia was founded in 1990, it is the first Slovak Society in Transcarpathia and Ukraine. Now the Society includes more than 1,700 members. The purpose of the Society: mobilization of resources for preservation of identity, development of native language education, national culture, citizens' self-awareness, cooperation between Ukraine and Slovakia. The activities of the Society are aimed at preserving traditions, customs and rituals, as well as the development of citizens' public activity.
