The Regional Philharmonic will close the season with a concert with the participation of prominent foreign guests
On June 21, the Transcarpathian Regional Philharmonic closes its 70th concert season. Traditionally, to celebrate such events, they select the best performers and a special program. This time, it will be the Philharmonic Orchestra (conductor - Honored Artist of Ukraine Victoria Svalyavchyk-Tsanko) and foreign guests - Ayako Yonetani (violin, Japan) and Leos Swarovski (conductor, Czech Republic). The program is also very fine - works of great romantic composers Ludwig van Beethoven and Antonin Dvorak.
So, at the final concert of the season, they will perform Concerto for Violin and Orchestra in D major, Beethoven's only finished work in this genre (composed in 1806). Soloist - Ayako Yonetani. This talented performer won the National Contest of Japan when she was just nine years old. She was taught by the world famous Japanese teachers and later moved to the United States. Since 1998, she has been actively touring, recording solo albums, working as a professor of violin and viola at the University of Central Florida and in the chamber ensemble Party Kioi Sinfonietta (Tokyo).
The music of A.Dvorak will be represented by his "Czech Suite". The conductor will be Leos Swarovski. This artist has worked with the orchestra of the Chamber Opera and the National Theater in Prague, was the principal conductor of the State Philharmonic in Brno, the orchestra Slovak Sinfonietta Žilina, the Chamber Philharmonic in Pardubice, and since 2003 has been the artistic director of the Prague State Opera. L.Swarovski has performed in almost all European countries, USA, South America, the Far East, Japan. He teaches at the department of conducting at the Academy of Music in Prague and tours extensively.
Another guest of honor invited to participate in this festive event is the director of the Philharmonic in the city of Kosice Julius Klein. One of the leading clarinetists Slovakia, he has played in various chamber ensembles in many European countries, USA, Canada and Japan. So, we expect from this star line-up a real musical feast. The event will be hosted by the music historian Natalia PITSUR. The concert starts at 18.30.
