On November 25, the International Roma Festival of Jazz Art "Pap-Jazz-Fest – 2017" will be held in the Transcarpathian Academic Regional Puppet Theater.
It will begin at 19.00 with a concert-requiem to commemorate the Holodomor victims, – the organizers announce.
The festival will be held for the twentieth time.
The highlight of this year’s music festival will be the performance of the world-class jazz star, sax player Eric Marienthal (USA), who received the prestigious Grammy international music award in 2016. Traditionally, some of the leading Ukrainian collectives will take part in the festival, including Uzhgorod’s "Pap Jazz Quintet" and the Roma youth jazz ensemble "Lautari".
"PAP-JAZZ-FEST-2017" will be held with the support of the Department of Culture and the Department for Nationalities and Religions of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, the Uzhgorod City Council, the Department for Culture, Sports, Family and Youth of Uzhgorod City Council, the International Renaissance Foundation, US Embassy in Ukraine, individual sponsors and patrons.
