Austrian lutanist Bernhard Hofstötter will play baroque music in Uzhgorod

On June 14, at 18:00, in the Owl’s Nest, there will be a concert of baroque music of French and German composers performed by lutanist Bernhard Hofstötter (Vienna, Austria).

About the artist:

Bernhard Hofstötter was born in Vienna. He began playing the stringed instruments at the age of 5. He was teaching law at the universities of Vienna, Oslo, Leuven and St. Gallen, simultaneously attending lute classes of Luciano Contini at the Conservatory "Arrigo Pedrollo" in Vicenza (Italy) and at the Conservatory of Vienna. He studied at the Royal Conservatory in the Hague, Cologne University of Music and Strasbourg Conservatory.   

Hofstötter performs solo repertoire for lute and guitar of the 17th and 18th centuries. At the same time, he is interested in modern music, which is reflected in pieces dedicated to him by Vache Sharafyan and Roman Turovsky. He plays concerts in most European countries, Armenia and Japan.
