Today in Uzhgorod, there will be a soiree of piano music
December 13, 2013 at 19:00, at the Art Center "Ilko Gallery", there will be the soiree of piano music by Jozsef Ermin.
Entrance fee is 60 UAH.
Jozsef Ermin is an artist of the Lviv Regional Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra. He performs as a soloist and as member of chamber ensembles in Ukraine, Russia, Poland, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, the USA and Canada.
In his performing activities, the emphasis is on playing avant-garde music.
The repertoire of Jozsef Ermin covers music from the Baroque to the present. Recently, he has been increasingly focused on the interpretation of the twentieth century music: special attention should be paid, on the one hand, to his performance of modern pianistic repertoire, which requires high technical and interpretative skill ("Vinght Regards sur l'Enfant Jesus" by Olivier Mesian, "Klavierstucke" by Karlheinz Stockhausen), on the other hand, to modern works of Ukrainian composers Valentin Silvestrov, Yevhen Stankovich, Yuriy Laniuk, Igor Shcherbakov, Oleksandr Shchetynsky.
He is also known as a consummate interpreter of the works of Alfred Schnittke, György Kurtág, Toru Takemitsu, Johnny Cage and Morton Feldman. Combining the high technical skill with the unusual vulnerability of a color, Jozsef Ermin is highly estimated as an interpreter of virtuoso and minimalist peices.
